DIAMONDBACK DANCE SOCIETY CHAPTER The Diamondback Dance Society is an approved chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts accessible to high school students studying dance, and who meet the requirements for induction. The National Honor Society for Dance Arts, or NHSDA, is a program of the National Dance Education Organization whose mission is to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance, and to foster an appreciation for dance as an artform. By recognizing these dance students nationwide and providing institutions with a way to promote their dance programs, NHSDA helps to advance the field of dance and the importance of dance education. General Requirements for Induction:
GPA: A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
DEMONSTRATION OF CHARACTER: Demonstration of collaborative teamwork, motivation, and leadership as determined by recommendations given by the student’s Teachers or School Administrators.
EARNED PARTICIPATION POINTS: A minimum of 30 points earned via The NHSDA National Induction Point System.
